Material Specification
|
|
Material layouts can be accurately planned to
produce a minimum of waste. |
|
Show Rate button allows the Charge Rate to be
changed for a specific material but does not alter the default rates. |
|
Icons at bottom are used to select the part
orientation on the process sheet, e.g. the example below orients the
part short side to the process sheet long side. |
|
Waste areas are represented by the figures at top and
left of the orientation icons. On the selected icon (3 red X's) the
process sheet short side can accommodate 1.25 parts oriented along the
part long side. This gives a better yield than the other option
represented by the icon on the left. Sometimes complete parts could be
fitted into the waste area. In this case the Waste field would display a
number to represent the number of parts that could be run in the waste
area. |
|
Sometimes to get the best yield with irregular shaped
parts we may need to lay the part out by hand. The part #up value can be
overridden by typing the desired value into the field directly. |
