Operation Formula

If you perform an operation that does not fit any of the standard Operation types you may enter a custom formula that will be used to calculate the time and operation costs in your estimates. E.g. stack/bundle cutting of sheets on a guillotine does not fit the standard operation rate model, #operations/hr/sheet. If subcontracted operations are a regular part of your manufacturing process you may wish to streamline the entry of these rates and use a custom pricing formula.

To ensure data accuracy instead of typing a formula the formula window allows you to select formula elements from a list field at the bottom of the window. When you double click a line in the list the field or operator character will be entered at the cursor position in the active formula field.
