Part Header
|
|
This is a general description of the Primary Part and
its revision
status. |
|
Reusable part specifications can be stored as
Templates to reduce repeated entry of similar or identical
specifications. Get Template button presents options to:
View and edit an existing Template.
Save a Template specification as a new Part Specification.
Save the currently displayed part as a new Template. |
|
Engineering Change button will duplicate the part and
assign the next revision level. Specification changes can now be made to
the new part record and recorded in the Rev. Change Description field. Previous revision is retained as an obsolete
part. This feature is useful for recording both customer revisions
and internal manufacturing revisions. |
|
Unauthorized and unintended changes can be prevented
by locking the record. Lock is achieved by the entry of two
signatures. |
|
Purchased checkbox designates Parts that are to be
purchased and prompts for a supplier. Dockets
entered against a purchased part will automatically write a purchase requisition. |
|
Sub Assemblies are listed in the list at the bottom
of the window. Double click will display the Sub Assembly in
its own window. |
|
Show Instructions button displays a window to enter
special and packaging instructions. |
