Sub Assemblies facilitate the processing of
multiple layered parts as components of a primary finished part.
Estimator's instructions can be concisely
conveyed to prevent confusion when complicated parts reach manufacturing
stage.
Purchased checkbox designates Sub Assemblies that are to be
purchased and prompts for a supplier. Dockets
that include a purchased sub assembly will automatically write a purchase
requisition.
If you do not manufacture complex parts, Sub Assemblies can be turned off in the main set up
file. The Primary Part can be assigned materials, operations, etc. at
any time. You specify and describe parts the way that suits your
operation best.
